A new home for the sport · v0.1 · Pre-launch
No contact. Built on trust. Played into your sixties. The community is unreasonably kind. Most Americans have never heard of it. We are going to change that.
Who is building this
I grew up in Oklahoma playing football, basketball, and soccer. I never heard the words "Ultimate Frisbee" until I was 28.
Now I am 48. I play for the Black Cans, one of the best great grand masters teams in the world. I run pickup games in Silver Spring three times a week. I coach my son's middle school team. I referee the pros. I have written 49 chapters about the sport and just published the first book.
Twenty years in, this sport has given me more than any other ever did. And almost nobody I grew up with has any idea it exists.
I bought UltimateFrisbee.com because nobody had built the place this sport deserves. I want to fix that, with help from every player, coach, parent, organizer, and curious person who has an opinion about what it should be.
Step one
Everything I know about solo Ultimate practice in one place. Forty-nine chapters. Now on Kindle.

What I want to build
Every major Ultimate organization in the world serves the players who already love the sport. The other 80% — the curious, the former player, the disc-golfer, the soccer parent, the kid in Tulsa whose school does not know Ultimate exists — has nowhere to go. UltimateFrisbee.com will be for them first.
Ultimate has no progression structure. You pick it up at pickup and either get good or you do not. We are going to change that with a tiered learning path, the way martial arts teach a kid to throw a punch.
A pulling technique I developed that adds ten yards of distance with the same effort. Never documented anywhere. We will document it here, with video, with diagrams, with names for things that have never had names.
The site you are looking at is the beginning of UltimateFrisbee.com, not the end. Before I build any of it, I want to know what the community thinks it should be.
Whether you have played for twenty years or have never thrown a disc in your life, I want to hear from you.
